Mrs. Kimberly Lessard
(She/Her/Hers)
On Maternity leave from June 1st, 2026 to August/September 2027 - Elyse Nieuwold, Pelvic Health and MSK PT, will be covering my practice
Kimberly completed her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy with honors at the Université Laval, in Québec city, in 2018. Early in her career, Kimberly discovered a passion for pelvic health physiotherapy.
Kimberly is dedicated to breaking the silence about pelvic health’s conditions. With knowledge and personalized exercises of the pelvic floor, she is able to empower her patients and improve their quality of life and well-being. When stepping into her office, you will be respected, listened to, and taken as a whole individual. She is highly motivated and takes every opportunity to enhance her knowledge. She has done over a dozen post-graduate course work, including manual therapy, pelvic health, and dry needling (IMS). Regarding pelvic health, she has experience with:
-Pregnant and postpartum individuals
-Pelvic organ prolapse
-Stress and urge urinary incontinence, urges, dribble post-voiding, frequent urinations, urination at night (nocturia), voiding difficulties
-Hemorrhoids, constipation, fecal incontinence
-Endometriosis, bladder pain syndrome (also known as IC)
-Pelvic girdle pain, pain with sexual intercourse, vaginismus, pain with orgasm/erection
-Pre and post-prostatectomy
-Children’s pelvic floor physiotherapy: encopresis, nocturnal enuresis (bed wetting), urinary incontinence
-Low back, hip, and sacroiliac joint pain
In her spare time, she enjoys outdoor activities, such as downhill skiing, ski touring, canoeing, trail running, mountain biking, and hiking. She also loves cooking, practicing yoga, traveling, and scuba diving. When an occasion arises to adventure in the backcountry, whether it is on a bike, on skis, or with hiking boots, she wants to be part of it. The mountain sports, the community vibe, and the quality of life in the Kootenays are what drew Kimberly here and why she has chosen this area as her permanent home.
